Dr. McCallum is a native of Washington D.C., and has spent the last 12 years in Natchez, MS. He completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington D.C., and he completed a combined civilian and military orthopedic residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Fort Bliss, Texas and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
He completed a fellowship in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and knee and shoulder reconstruction at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Cincinatti, Ohio where he trained under Frank Noyes, MD. Prior to joining South Central, Dr. McCallum operated a private practice in Homer, Alaska for eleven years. Between 2010 and 2012, he worked as locum tenens physician with Weatherby Healthcare. He spent eight years as Team Sports Medicine Orthopaedist at Alcorn State University. Most recently, Dr. McCallum was a hospital employed orthopaedist at Natchez Regional Hospital/Merit Health Natchez.
Dr. McCallum is a fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and he is board certified in orthopedic surgery.
