Jeff Burns, MD, completed medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Following medical school, Dr. Burns completed an internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at SUNY Stony Brook University in New York.  He completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute. Dr. Burns is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Prior to joining South Central Orthopedics, Dr. Burns worked with Premier Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Hattiesburg, where he was founding partner.
